We were the first OCR Centre to be approved to run the new QCF Assessor and IQA Certificates, and Rob was the first OCR candidate to achieve them!

Aug 2018

There have been major changes in qualifications recently and NVQs have mostly been replaced by the QCF ( Qualifications and Credit Framework).

Assessors and Verifiers

If you have already achieved A1 or V1, or D32 /D33 and D34, you do not need to update.

If you want to get qualified as an Assessor, then you will need the Assessor Certificate (which has replaced the A1 ) and if you want to manage Assessors you need the IQA (lntemal Quality Auditor) Certificate which has replaced the V1.

You may wish to update to the new qualifications as part of your CPD and in order to familiarise yourself with the new format of QCFs.

Delivering the Assessor and IQA certificates is what we do and we can help you to get qualified quickly.

Trainers - PTLLS

If you are training on Government funded schemes you will be required to achieve a Trainer qualification and you have probably been told to get PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector).

Advice and Guidance

Most Trainers are involved in giving Information, Advice, and Guidance to their learners and it is probable that when the Matrix Award and Standards for IAG are re-established in the near future all Training Centres will once more be required to have staff qualified in Advice and Guidance.

We offer the Level 3 and 4 in Advice and Guidance which is currently being changed over to QCF qualifications.
