QASC

Assessor A1

Nearly all qualifications, especially NVQs and QCF/RQFs, now call for a qualified Assessor.

This used to be the D32 / D33 which was replaced by the A1, and has now been replaced by the RQF Assessor.

The previous qualifications are still valid and there is no need to update your Assessor qualification although you may be asked to as part of your CPD if you have not been actively assessing for some time.

Assessor RQF qualifications

1. Award for assessing in the working environment (workplace)

2. Award for assessing in the training environment (training area)

3. Certificate for assessing in both environments

We feel that the small amount of extra effort required to get the Certificate both makes you a better Assessor AND stands you in better stead if your role changes in the future. We are happy to offer both the Awards and the Certificate but try to persuade most people to study for the Certificate if possible.
